- PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with iChrom Solutions, 816 N. Delsea Drive, Glassboro, NJ, 08028-1438, for the purpose of procuring a twelve (12) month service agreement for its existing Spark Holland Symbiosis High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC) system. The FBI requires a twelve (12) month service agreement to cover maintenance and repairs on its existing Spark Holland Symbiosis High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC) system in order to successfully advance active research projects and meet required research milestones. Without proper maintenance, there is a greater risk of instrument failure and down time which could cause significant delays in multiple active research projects. All service and maintenance must be performed by an iChrom Solutions certified service engineer. Twelve (12) month service agreement requirements: • Helpdesk support via telephone, email and fax. • Unlimited breakdown calls including labor and travel costs • Loaner Unit in case of repair of the system that has to take place at an iChrom approved location. • Minor repairs authorized to be completed by customer at discretion of iChrom • All spare parts provided • Preventative Maintenance Kit • Annual Preventative Maintenance visit. • Software Upgrades Based on market research, and Government end-users, it has been determined that iChrom Solutions is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the Spark Holland Symbiosis High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC) system; therefore, they are the only company capable of providing the necessary service and support for this instrument. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Emailed responses will only be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government. Vendors must be registered in SAM, effective July 29, 2012 to receive government contracts. The FBI uses a financial system that has a direct interface with SAM. Please ensure that your company's SAM information is updated and accurate. This includes TIN, EFT, DUNS, addresses and contact information. The EFT banking information on file in SAM will be what the FBI uses to process payment to your organization.
