Solicitation: AG-82MK-S-17-0018 Cold Springs Ranger Station Utility Rehabilitation The Uncompahgre National Forest, Grand Valley Ranger District has a requirement for Cold Springs Ranger Station Utility Rehabilitation. This project consists of improvements to the water, sewer and electric systems of a remote seasonal ranger station. Work items include selective demolition of existing utility components, construction of a new well, installation of approximately 1,100 feet of new buried water piping, new buried sewer piping, new leach field drain trenching, construction of an 8 feet by 10 feet water treatment building and installation of a 10 kW propane generator. Depending on test results of the new well, either the well or an adjacent spring will be developed as a water source. Optional items include construction of an aggregate surface trailer pad, replacement of five 300 to 500 gallon propane tanks and installation of a photovoltaic system. Location: Uncompahgre National Forest, Grand Valley Ranger District, Mesa County, Colorado From Grand Junction, take State Highway 50 Southeast. At the town of Whitewater, turn onto State Highway 141 Southwest and travel for 14 miles. Tum a sharp right onto Divide Road. Divide Road becomes a gravel surface road through the Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service land. The road is closed from late autumn through early spring. Travel for 20 miles. There will be a sign for Cold Springs Ranger Station on the left. The Ranger Station is approximately 1 mile from the Divide. Price Range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. With all base and additive items. Pre-Proposal Conference with a follow on Site Visit (weather pending) is anticipated. All information will posted in the solicitation. All solicitation documents will be posted to this website approximately 20 May 2017. Proposals are estimated to be due 30 days after issue of solicitation (actual due date will be listed in the solicitation). This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for bid/proposal preparation costs.
