- The Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii intends to award a sole source contract to Sun Nuclear Corporation for Radiographic Tester System (IC Profiler). This IC Profiler is the only one compatible with existing government-owned equipment. Sun Nuclear Corporation is the sole manufacturer and distributor of this is item. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing for full and open competition is 41 U.S.C., as cited in FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
