- Description
- Z- Fenn, Selway and Gateway Roofing Description of Work. The project consists of removing and replacing the existing roof(s) with new roofing as specified in Section B, including underlayment materials, cedar shingles, roofing, flashing, fascia, ridge caps (as required), waterproofing, and all other incidental work to complete the project. The existing roofing materials and items shall be disposed of off forest in accordance with all state and federal laws. The Contractor shall provide all materials and labor necessary to complete the work in a professional workman like manner and in accordance with attached specifications and manufacturer's installation instructions and drawings. All lots of roofing materials must be from the same manufacturer to ensure consistency. Hand-nailing the shingles is required. Final cleanup shall be considered incidental to the work. The building must be protected from leakage and exposure to the weather during removal of the existing roof and completion of the new roof. Contractor shall be responsible for verifying roofing dimensions and for the repair of incidental damage to premises. Project Location(s). 1.) This project is located at the Fenn Ranger Station on the Selway River. From Kooskia, ID, travel approximately 24 miles east on highway 12 and turn right onto Selway River Road, FSR #223. Travel approximately 5 miles. Turn left into Fenn Ranger station and travel 500 feet to the cluster of buildings. Fenn Administration Office will be the first building on the right. 2.) This project is located at the Selway Falls Cabin on the Selway River. From Kooskia, ID, travel approximately 24 miles east on highway 12 and turn right onto Selway River Road, FSR #223. Travel approximately18 miles, destination will be on the left, turn into driveway and building is first on the left. 3.) This project is located at the Wilderness Gateway Campground on the Lochsa River. From Kooskia, ID, travel approximately 48 miles east on highway 12 and turn right onto FSR #1649. Travel approximately 1/3 mile, destination will be on the left. Construction Magnitude: $ 25,000- $100,000 Period of Performance. Contract will run continuously from July 1, 2017 and be completed by September 1, 2017.
