- PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT SEQUOIA AND KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS TACTILE OUTDOOR TOPOGRAPHIC MODELS RFP No. P17PS01423 The National Park Service, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, located in Tulare County, California has a requirement for the creation of two tactile outdoor topographic models with base structures and integrated interpretive panels. The purpose of this contract is to provide for creation of two tactile outdoor topographic models with base structures and integrated interpretive panels. The models should be constructed of bronze or another material that is highly weather-resistant. If another material is used that allows color to be added to the surface of the models, the color should be resistant to fading and weathering. The exhibits will be exposed to climate extremes, including deep snow cover, full sun, high temperatures, and falling pine needles and small branches, and should be durable and resistant to weathering and being touched by people. The Contractor shall provide all services including labor, materials, equipment, shipping or delivery, and installation instructions and support necessary to complete the project. All work shall be performed under a single, fixed price contract. This acquisition is set-aside exclusively for Small Business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541430; the small business size standard is $7.5 million. Award selection shall be made on a Best Value determination made after consideration of price and factors other than price (prior experience with similar projects, key personnel qualifications, and past performance). All factors and significant subfactors that will affect contract award and their relative importance will be stated in Section M of the solicitation when posted. Award is subject to the availability of funding at the time of award. The prospective Offeror is responsible to periodically check these websites for any amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFP.
