- Statement of Work for ESS at Lakenheath Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) Introduction The 764th Specialized Contracting Squadron, on behalf of the U.S. Air Force's 48th Munitions Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, intends to solicit, in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to obtain more information on procurement and installation of Electronic Security System (ESS) material/equipment in building 1400 at RAF Lakenheath in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW). This SSS is for planning purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP)/Solicitation. A solicitation is not being issued at this time and this notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation. The Government will not provide reimbursement for costs associated with this request. Responses will be treated as information only and will not be used as a proposal. Any information provided by industry to the Government, as a result of this SSS is strictly voluntary; responses will not be returned. The information obtained from industry responses to this notice may be used in the development of an acquisition strategy and a future RFP. The submitted documentation, upon delivery, becomes the property of the U.S. Government and will not be returned. Purpose The Government is seeking to obtain industry feedback on contractor ability to fulfill the Government's needs as outlined in the attached SOW. The Government intends to post an RFQ for this requirement in the future and allow thirty (30) calendar days for proposal submittal. Questions for Industry Question 1: Does your company currently have the personnel security clearance requirements as required under Statement of Work paragraph 8.0, or would you be able to obtain those prior to proposal submission? Question 2: If an RFQ is released based on the requirements in the SOW, would your company provide a quote? If not, could you please explain why?
