Description

The VA Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22 submits a notice of intent to award a single-source, firm fixed-price contract for Biomedical Engineering Internships to University of Connecticut. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, equipment, travel, transportation expenses, and other related costs to provide two graduate-level (2) interns from the University of Connecticut Clinical Engineering program to participate in a two-year educational/work internship at VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS). The base year period of performance for this requirement will be 12-months with an option year period of performance of 12-months. This single-source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from acquiring these services on a competitive basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(i) for the aforementioned requirement based on the application of FAR 6.302(a)(2)(ii). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the action proposed in this announcement.
