- VA786-17-R-0495 Questions and Answers 05/23/2017 Renovate Maintenance Building 926-NRM17-15 Question: On the Price Schedule; please clarify that the Base is ALL items and the Deduct Alternative 1 is ALL items minus just the brick wall portion of the scope? Answer: Please confirm the attached SOW with base bid and deduct alternates is what you accessed on FBO.gov? I verified on FBO.gov and the attached matches what Mr. Washington posted. Base is all items. Deduct alternates, as you ve asked, is indeed the base bid amount LESS your estimated amount for in the case of Deduct Alternate #1 = windows. As an example, if your base bid quote for this project is an arbitrary $200,000, of which you estimate the windows work is $10,000, then your proposed figure for the Deduct Alternate Option #1 would be $190,000. Question: The SOW section on the re-work of the brick structural wall, are you asking to chip or grind out joints or total disassemble the wall and chimney and re-build it? Answer: This is a design build portion of the work, but please note the description of work much more closely describes your latter option of total disassembly and rebuild. The selected contractor s design build engineering firm and their solution will ultimately detail the exact scope of work. Question: Window and doors; aluminum clad or all aluminum? Answer: All aluminum per specifications for the windows and storefronts. Additionally if you have any other questions or clarifications needed, please don t hesitate to ask via email. Question: What s the estimated project price range? Answer: The government estimated valued for this project is approximately $150,000.00 to $29,000.00. The project duration should not exceed the estimated 180 day from award and the issuing of the notice to proceed. The government will conduct a postaward meeting with the awardee to discuss any unforeseen change which may occur. Note: The building is historic sites!
