Page 1 of 1 PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA797P-17-R-0024 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to procure the following five groups of plastic vials, bottles, and caps as follows: Group I: Amber vial, plastic, round, minimum 4-1/8 circumference, minimum 2 high, for use with safety caps (press down and turn) and non-safety snap caps; one-piece closure, no fitment. Vial opening instructions must be legibly embossed or permanently marked in contrasting color on cap surface. VA logo must be printed on caps in a minimum of two colors. The sizes are as follows: 8 dram; 12 dram; 16 dram; 20 dram; 30 dram; 40 dram; 60 dram; all sizes with safety caps and non-safety caps. Group II: Amber vial, plastic, round, minimum 4-1/8 circumference, minimum 2 high, for use with safety caps (press down and turn) and non-safety snap caps; two-piece closure, fitment inserted. Vial opening instructions must be legibly embossed or permanently marked in contrasting color on cap surface. VA logo must be printed on caps in a minimum of two colors. The sizes are as follows: 9 dram; 13 dram; 16 dram; 20 dram; 30 dram; 40 dram; 60 dram; all sizes with safety caps and non-safety caps. Group III same as Group I except no VA Logo required (Requirements for IHS and BOP). Group IV: same as Group II except no VA Logo required (Requirements for IHS and BOP). Products for Groups I IV must be compatible with the current calibration of ScriptPro automated equipment. Group V: Bottle, safety cap, wide mouth packer, screw neck, round, opaque white high density polyethylene with child-resistant (clutch) type cap: 80 dram (300-325cc); 105 dram (400-425cc) and 130 dram (500-525cc). Groups I - V must meet USP light transmission and moisture tight container requirements. Estimated annual quantities are available upon e-mail request. The estimated quantities are for VA, Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and Indian Health Service (IHS). The Government is specifying no particular package/case size; therefore, any commercial package size is acceptable. The package size will not be evaluated, only price of the vials/bottles and caps. Potential Offeror s shall provide the VA with one sample of each line item they submit an offer for. Samples will be evaluated to ensure they meet the requirements noted above and for vials to ensure compatibility with the CMOP dispensing machines. These samples will not be returned to the contractor. The contract period will be for one year with one option year. The contract items will be distributed through the VA Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor. If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. Solicitation will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about June 6, 2017, with a tentative closing date  of June 20, 2017. The NAICS code for this procurement is  326160. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available, and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
