Sources Sought: VA259-17-N-0566 Arbor Drum Sander Grand Junction VA Medical Center This is Sources Sought Notice is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice, and it shall not be implied the Government is committed to providing any solicitation or award following this notice. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate a respondent for any costs incurred in developing information provided. Responses shall be submitted to sean.rice2@va.gov by 5:00pm EST on Tuesday, May 30th, 2017. This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors which are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) vendor relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339113. The results of this Sources Sought Notice will also be used to make a determination on the reasonable expectation of awarding a contract at a fair and reasonable price. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 19 (NCO19) is seeking responses to this request for information from interested, capable firms that can meet the requirements set forth below. The overall purpose is to provide an Arbor Drum Sander to the VA Medical Center in Grand Junction Colorado. Trautman Arbor Drum Sander BRAND NAME OR EQUAL TO: Item Band Name Product Details Qty Unit Price Total 5001-3 (Fillauer) Trautman Arbor 3 Phase 230/460V Drum Sander 1 Intended Use(s): Prosthetics. Brand Name or Equal Item will be compatible with Trautman Brand accessories. Salient Characteristics of the drum are as follows: Included features: No less than 2 HP brushless motor Industrial on/off thermal protector safety switch Internally enclosed low-maintenance bearings Shaft protection shields Drive belts internally enclosed Safety emergency stop switch 14-inch sanding disc 7-inch pneumatic drum 1/2 13 threaded end to accept Trautman brand accessories. Dimensions not to exceed 47 long with a 25- by 20-inch base. Power: Three phase (240/460 VAC) 5.6/2.8A 60 Hz Motor Speed: 1725 RPM Responding companies are encouraged to include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, compatibility, etc.) confirming their ability to supply product with the salient characteristics outlined in this request. Potential contractors must demonstrate that they are an authorized distributor of the product offered. Contractor will be responsible to provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S. Government to form a binding contract or agreement. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.
