Description
Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a sole source acquisition pursued under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The Firm Fixed Price contract to Insitu, Inc., Bingen, WA is for a UAS ISR services engineering assessment (ship check) aboard a Military Sealift Command ship. Insitu, Inc. is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Scan Eagle UAS, as well as the sole integrator of the avionics system and, as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience and tooling to perform the efforts described herein to satisfy the Government's requirement. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only.
