- VA118-17-N-2103 A00002 - ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS FOR MY VA WAY NAVIGATIONAL MOBILE APPLICATION QUESTIONS: 1. What form to do they plan to give the data for the schematics/layout of the building? Unknown at this time. 2. It is preferred to have the data in vector format (may be format like shapefiles)? Yes, Vector 3. Will the information (presented as a directory) be made available in a geocoded format? Yes geocoding locations will need to be provided. A context API should be able to return detailed information about a specified location. I.E., determine if a user is inside the canteen, the Polytrauma clinic or Director s Suite. 4. Do you know the Wi-Fi hardware provider at the facility? No Wi-Fi 5. Can you please clarify which category this RFI is planning for? Sparks Grant Proof of Concepts 6. In the RFI the work location has been mentioned as contractor location. Is there a need for facility or security clearance for the location also for resources working on the project also for continued support? Our location doesn t require a facility or security clearance to have access to the facility. And since the software will not be on the VA computer system we will have minimal OIT requirements. 7. Is this a RFI for getting only capability information or government expectation is to have response including effort estimate that is going to part of an RFP response. As stated in the RFI, this announcement is for planning purposes only. Any information provided in response, including price estimates, will be used by the Government in further refining its technical requirements, budget estimates and acquisition strategy. This RFI does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. If the Government decides to move forward with an acquisition for the products/services described in this RFI, a separate Request for Quotation or Request for Proposal will be issued. 8. Are you expecting providers to have specific Mobile App development experience in the Federal government or outside experience can be considered? As stated in the RFI, this announcement is for planning purposes only. Any information provided in response, including price estimates, will be used by the Government in further refining its technical requirements, budget estimates and acquisition strategy. Are you able to provide any information on the area to be covered to include square footage/# of corridors? 13,323 sf of the area shaded in red (Cannot publish the detailed floor plan to the public) 1,660 sf. of lines in blue (Cannot publish the detailed floor plan to the public)
