- SYNOPSIS: JOHNSON & JOHNSON HEART CATHETERS This synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR 5.101(a) and FAR 5.207. This proposed action is for the procurement of Johnson and Johnson 4mm Navigational Bi-Directional Ablation catheters for electrophysiology ablation procedures on patients' hearts. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This proposed procurement will be a sole source award under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. Business size standard for NAICS 339112 is 1000 employees. PSC code: 6515 - Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment and Supplies. Delivery Schedule: 02 June 2017 Delivery Destination: Medical Materiel Bldg 830 Area A 4881 Sugar Maple Dr. Wright Patterson AFB, OH 45433 Requirement: Seven (7) Johnson and Johnson 4mm Navigational Bi-Directional Catheters, Product Code and GTIN: ID:BN7TCDF4L GTIN:10846835002997 The proposed source is Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc., 425 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ, 08854-4103. This procurement will not be competed because the aforementioned Johnson & Johnson heart catheters are currently the only ones on the market that work with the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Medical Treatment Facility's Biosense Webster CARTO Electrophysiology system. Furthermore, the electrophysiologist at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Medical Treatment Facility is currently trained on how to use these catheters. The Government will award a contract to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Technical Capability and Price will be used to evaluate all offers. The Department of Defense (DoD) has determined the System for Award Management (SAM) to be the single point of DoD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the government.
