Description

The USACE Walla Walla District is seeking to sole source the service contract to Vertical Options, LLC, a WOSB. Vertical Options, LLC submitted a capability statement in response to an email sent to the company 13 February 2017 as part of market research performed on the SBA Dynamic Small Business Search. The company was determined to be capable of providing the services and found to be a responsible contractor. No negative reports were found in FAPIIS. The company has a current SAM registration and no delinquent federal debt, inactive or active exclusions. The company has been performing satisfactory on the current elevator contract at Dworshak Dam. Based on market research, the Contracting Officer does not expect that 2 or more WOSB will submit offers. An SBA Dynamic Small Business search was done and no other WOSBs were found capable of performing these services, meeting the requirement of responding to an emergency call-out within three hours. The anticipated award will be less than $4,000,000. The contract award will be made at a fair and reasonable price. Sole sourcing to a WOSB will help Walla Walla District reach its small business goals. The District Deputy for Small Business Programs concurs and is an advocate for this WOSB acquisition strategy.
