Description
******************************************************** UPDATE The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a second ceiling increase modification to contract N00024-15-C-5335 between the United States Navy and Raytheon, Co., Integrated Defense System of Tewksbury, MA for procurement, on a sole-source basis, of Dual Band Radar (DBR) FY17-18 DBR System Design Agent Engineering Services. If executed, the contemplated contract modification will: (a) increase the number of hours and the period of performance available for the DBR System Design Agent Engineering Services; (b) increase associated travel requirements in support of DBR System Design Agent Engineering Services, and (c) increase associated incidental material in support of DBR System Design Agent Engineering Services. This ceiling increase will allow continuation of non-severable tasks in support of Ship Activation and the Industrial Test Programs on CVN 78 and DDG 1000. Disclaimer: The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This pre-solicitation notice is for information only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept, proposals as a result of this synopsis. If a competitive solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced via the Government wide point of entry, and interested parties must comply with that announcement. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice. This is not a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation, and this information is subject to modification and in no way binds the Government to award a contract.
