- Description
- This is a follow on action to the Switchblade Aerial Munitions System Support Contract. The proposed solicitation issue date is on or about 23 may 2017 with a closing date of 6 June 2017. The planned procurement is to acquire Switchblade Hardware: Inert Training Vehicles (ITVs); Firing Control Units (FCUs) and Training Simulators (T-Sims). The requirement is for a period of 12 months. A Firm Fixed Price (FFP) modification is anticipated to be awarded by the Government. Telephone requests for copies of the Request for proposal (RFP) will not be accepted. AeroVironment is the only source with the capabilities and owns the Technical Data Package (TDP). For a copy of the RFP email your request to david.w.street.civ@mail.mil. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for additional competitive proposals. However, all prosals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to further compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a full and open competitive procurement.
