- This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ), solicitation number P17PS01291, Asbestos Abatement Headquarters Apartments ¿ Olympic National Park (OLYM) in accordance with FAR Part 13 -- Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) IAW FAR 52.204-7. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 562910, Asbestos Abatement Services. For the purpose of this procurement the small business size standard is 750 Employees. All quotes shall be valid for a period of 60 days from the closing date of this announcement. The magnitude of construction cost for this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The Government intends to award one Firm-Fixed Price Contract from this solicitation. Services to be furnished: This project consists of asbestos abatement in the Headquarters Apartment Building (Bldg 17), a 6-unit, 3,414 square foot single story structure. Bldg. 17 HQ Apartments - located in the Headquarters area of the park, at 600 East Park Avenue in Port Angeles, WA. Asbestos abatement consists of removal and disposal of approximately 3,414 square feet of grey 9" x 9" floor tile throughout the building residence excepting the laundry room, and removal and disposal of approximately 8,871 square feet (approx 6,380 sf wall + approx. 2,491 of ceiling) of gypsum wallboard ceiling and walls throughout the building. All apartments have additional flooring (carpet and linoleum) placed on top of the asbestos tile, which will require removal and disposal. The Park will remove all fixed and moveable furnishings and fixtures prior to abatement. All identified asbestos containing material will be removed and disposed of in accordance with Washington State Regulations. Washington State Department of Labor and Industries and ORCCA require that the abatement be performed using Certified Asbestos Workers under the direct on site supervision of a Certified Asbestos Supervisor. The contractor shall obtain a separate entity to perform required clearance testing and have results sent directly to Olympic National Park to maintain independent verification of proper completion of the work. The contractor is responsible for acquiring all required permits for the project. Copies of all permits, disposal documentation and clearance sample documentation will be submitted to the Park in a completion report supplied by the contractor. The contractor will also supply the Park with documentation of appropriate certification of all workers prior to start of work. Performance period: October 5, 2017 ¿ October 13, 2017 non-negotiable. A site visit will NOT be held for this requirement. Quotes must be received no later than 5:00 PM Pacific Time, Friday June 23, 2017. ONLY ELECTRONIC COPIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
