Description

Amendment No. 1 The National Park Service (NPS) has issued Amendment No. 1 to the Solicitation number CC-DENA018-17. The purpose of this Amendment is provide clarity on the local resident boundary for right of preference pursuant to the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act (ANILCA). The Service has added the following language to the Proposal Package - ANILCA Section 1307 Preferred Operator Application: "Note: Local area means an area in Alaska within 100 statute miles of the location within the park area where any of the applicable visitor services are authorized to be provided. For this business opportunity, the local area boundary is defined as 100 miles from the eastern terminus of the Denali Park Road (George Parks Highway and Denali Park Road intersection), along the length of the Denali Park Road corridor to the western terminus of the Denali Park Road (mile 91). The local area boundary also includes 100 miles from the eastern Park boundary in the Cantwell area." The Service has removed footnote #2 in the Proposal Package - ANILCA Section 1307 Preferred Operator Application, which previously stated: "Local area means an area in Alaska within 100 statute miles of the location within the park area where any of the applicable visitor services are authorized to be provided." This Amendment does NOT extend the due date for proposals which remains June 28, 2017, no later than 4:00 p.m. (Alaska Time).
