- THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY! (NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL) It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the government. It is a market research tool being used to determine potential and eligible small business firms capable of providing the services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Quote/Proposal. Responses, in any form, are not offers and the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for the preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information is submitted by the respondents is strictly voluntary. The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VHA) has a requirement for a security infrastructure system overhaul at the Hampton VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Hampton, Virginia (including its outlying Community-Based Outpatient Clinics). The government procured the design of the system and intends to follow suit with this design to increase public safety and enhance security on the campus grounds. This design includes; establishing a mesh access point, installation of cameras with PoE capabilities, construction of a fully operational police dispatch with required HVAC and flooring components (including a tactical mobile trailer), installation of all servers and desktops in dispatch/mobile trailer. The potential contractor shall supply all of the necessary deliverables to establish this comprehensive security system. The anticipated contract type is Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) with a period of performance of one (1) year. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the requirement is 517110 (Wired Telecommunications Carriers) with a size standard of 1500 employees. All interested businesses are encouraged to respond. Interested business shall submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than ten 8.5 x 11 inch pages, font no smaller than 12 point, 1.5 spaced) demonstrating their ability to perform these services. Please indicate the size status and representations of your business, such as but not limited to: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Hubzone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Large Business, etc.). SDVOSB/VOSB interested parties shall be registered in the VIP database at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. The capability statement package shall be sent by e-mail to wayne.neyland@va.gov. Submissions must be received at the office cited no later than 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on June 26, 2017. Questions or comments regarding this notice may be addressed to Wayne A.
