- Project Purpose and Scope: The Cheyenne VA Medical Center needs increase the capabilities of its Public Address Mass Notification System (PAMNS). The PAMS includes Nurse Call, Staff Assist, Code Blue and Public Address. To this end, Cheyenne is looking for the following items to make the system complete and usable: The existing PAMNS must remain operational while changes are made. The area being worked on can be shut down for a short period while the equipment is being connected or installed, but the remaining system much be operational. Reprogram the existing 66 Patient Station/Code Blue Buttons act as Staff Assist and replace Code Blue Insert with Patient Station Insert. Install 67 Staff Assist Call points approximately 52 inches above floor and centered on the bed. Installation includes box, plenum rated cables, termination to existing system and programing. Install 66 Code Blue Call points approximately 52 inches above floor and centered on the bed. Installation includes box, plenum rated cables, termination to existing system and programing. Install 32 LED Annunciators to act as Nurse Call Marquees, to include mounting, plenum rated cables and termination to existing system. Install 29 LED Displays to act as message marquees, to include mounting, plenum rated cables and termination to existing system. Install 25 overhead speakers, to include mounting, plenum rated cables and termination to existing system. Install 1 Code Blue Callpoint and 1 Zone Sounder in Pharmacy. Patient Station, and connect to Nurse Call Call Point. Cover old 37 Pin connector location with a cover plate. Connect Existing PAMNS to paging by: Provide an interface to the existing Multitone voice announcement system. System must be enabled by the transmission of voice announcements over the existing Multitone system. Provide integration components, system connections, and programming. Cheyenne VA MC will provide network connectivity between the exiting Valcom and new Multitone systems, telephone system programming, and coordination with the Multitone system supplier service agent. Contractor will provide equipment delivered to site. Final installation of equipment. Coordination and programming to VA system. System testing and certification. Locations of items are identified on the plans. Final locations of items identified on plans can be field adjusted as needed with the approval of the Contracting Officers Representative.. Contractors will follow VA infection control and safety protocols.
