- Building listing of washers and dryers for Fort Knox, Kentucky THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The MICC - Fort Knox is conducting market research for the following requirement: Washer and Dryer Repair Services - The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials and supervision necessary to repair, hook-up or salvage machines located throughout the Fort Knox Installation during the period 1 October 2017 through 31 September 2018 with four one-year option periods for Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Fort Knox, Kentucky. See building listing of washers and dryers. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. It is a market research tool being used to determine procurement strategy. Appropriate procurement strategy will be determined after consideration of industry response to this sources sought synopsis. The U.S. government desires to award this repair service on small business set-aside basis, provided two or more qualified small businesses respond to this sources sought synopsis with information sufficient to support a set-aside. Be advised that the U.S. Government will not be able to set aside this requirement if 2 or more small businesses do not respond with information to support the set-aside. We encourage all small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement at a fair market price. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice. The government is not obligated to, and will not, pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. Responses to this announcement should be e-mailed to karen.e.keys.civ@mail.mil no later than 11:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) Fort Knox Local Time on 1 June 2017 and should include the following: 1. A statement of interest in services contained herein. 2. A synopsis of the contractor's capabilities. 3.
