- AFICA/KGQ at Barksdale Air Force Base LA intends to solicit competitive proposals to provide A4 Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) System Engineering Support (SES). SES tasks include planning, analyses, trade studies, problem resolution, training and associated systems engineering support tasks necessary to develop, produce, deploy, operate, maintain security, and test and evaluate missile, command control communications, basing, reentry and launch vehicle systems and technology. The contractor shall provide eight (8) Contracted Man-year Equivalents (CMEs) to provide "on-site" system engineering support A&AS services, with essential expertise and capabilities to ensure AFGSC's A4 ICBM weapon system's responsibilities are met. As the 'train and equip' command, AFGSC is responsible for conducting the Mission Area Assessment process to evaluate subordinate units' ability to accomplish the AF missions in specific Mission Areas. Performance is projected to begin 28 September 2017, with 100% of the contracted man-year equivalents (CMEs) in place by the end of the transition period. Base period will include up to 30 days transition after date of award for personnel to be at their designated work location. The period of performance shall be for one (1) Base Year of 12 months and two (2) 12-month option years. The Period of Performance reads as follows: Base Year - 28 September 2017 - 27 September 2018 Option Year I - 28 September 2018 - 27 September 2019 Option Year II - 28 September 2019 - 27 September 2020 Place of performance includes Barksdale AFB LA and Camp Guernsey, WY. Anticipated release date of Request for Proposal (RFP) is on or after 2 June 2017. Do not submit proposals in response to this notice. This will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330, Engineering Services, with a size standard of $38.5M.
