Description
This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The Veterans Affairs, VISN 22 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources for a potential contractor to provide Calibration and Repair services for various Imaging Equipment that are located at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, 5901 East Seventh Street, Long Beach, CA 90822. The size classification relative to the NACIS code is 811219, with a size standard of $20.5 Million. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the Fedbizopps website. OFFERS OR PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. THIS IS NOT A PRESOLICITATION OR SOLICITATION. ADDITIONALLY, THIS NOTICE DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT OR MULTIPLE CONTRACTS; AND, IT DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR ANY BID AND/OR PROPOSAL PREPARATION COSTS. THE GOVERNMENT IS SEEKING ONLY SMALL BUSINESS RESPONSES TO THE PROPOSED REQUIREMENT. The services to be provided are as follows: 1) The Contractor shall furnish all necessary and appropriate labor, materials, supplies and equipment to successfully perform in brief the following services: 2) On-site diagnostic medical physics support and services for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in accordance with VHA Handbook 1105.04, Fluoroscopy Safety, dated July 6, 2012; 3) Compliance with radiation protection standards in 29 CFR 1910.1096 and 10 CFR Part 20, as applicable; and immediately report any unsafe conditions with the potential to adversely impact the facility radiation workers or patients to the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO). 4) All work to be performed by a qualified diagnostic medical physicist who is certified by the American Board of Radiology, American Board of Medical Physics, the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine, or has state licensure. 5) Services include: Inspections on imaging equipment (x-ray equipment, nuclear medicine cameras, and ultrasound units) to ensure compliance with the current American College of Radiology (ACR); Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA); and The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements. If you are interested, and are capable of providing the required services please furnish the following requested information: (a) company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (b) is your business small; (c) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business?; (d) if disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act?; (e) is your firm a certified Hubzone firm?; (f) is your firm a woman-owned or operated business?; (g) is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or veteran owned small business?; (h) Does your company have a GSA and/or a NAC Contract? If so, please provide contract number. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed or faxed to the attention of Sylvia Correa, with the title Interested Vendor for Calibration and Repair Services VALBHS in the subject line. E-mail address: sylvia.correa@va.gov. Telephone responses shall not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 1:00 p.m. PST on May 31st, 2017. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of a solicitation. It is the sole responsibility of all Interested Parties to register for notification updates to any and all subject documents for the said action. All contractors MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database or their proposal will not be considered. Contractors can obtain further information on the System for Award Management (SAM) at web site https://www.sam.gov.
