- The project scope includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to replace the glass entry window system and the existing north facade windows of the Sailing Center (Jacobs Rock) at the USCG Academy, New London, CT. The work shall include: -Demolish the existing glass and aluminum entrance vestibule and fixed windows located on the north side of the Seamanship Center, -Installation of a new vestibule and new windows and alterations to support these and all other items to make the project complete. -A new concrete foundation, new structural steel, new entrance doors and aluminum/glass wall system and associated roof and roofing. -Modification of existing electrical systems and structural systems. The work requires the modification of existing weather barrier system both plastic and metal. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 15 June 2017. Tentative date for receipt of bids is 17 July 2017. Period of Performance: Award is anticipated to be made in mid August 2017. The overall period of performance is Notice to Proceed plus 14 weeks. The applicable North American Industry Classification systems (NAICS) code is 238350 Finish Carpentry Contractors with a small business size standard of 15 million. The estimated value of the procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000. Payment and/or Performance bonds will be required. The acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 14. Pursuant to FAR Part 19.5 set aside for Small Business, this solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns. Our office no longer issues solicitation or amendments in paper form.
