- In accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(c)(3) this is a SOURCES SOUGHT FOR MARKET RESEARCH. This notice is a request for information to provide data for planning purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, a Solicitation, a Request for Quotes, or an indication the Government will contract for the services contained in this Sources Sought. This request is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with this source sought or reimburse expenses incurred to interested parties for preparing a response as a result of this posting. Any responses received will not be used as a proposal. Respondents will not be notified of the Sources Sought evaluation results, nor will questions be addressed by the Government; however, an industry or small business conferences will be scheduled to exchange information about this future acquisition. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. A SOLICITATION OR DRAWINGS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), is soliciting for capability statements from all interested parties to perform pre-design, design services, construction administration, supplemental services, and/or conservation sustainability for Building 1 Wings 5, 4, & Partial Spine at NIST in Boulder, Colorado. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition is 541330, Engineering Services, and the Small Business size standard is $15.0 million. The solicitation is planned to be posted in the summer of 2017 with a FIRM-FIXED-PRICE award anticipated for the summer of 2017 (fiscal year 2017). IAW FAR 36 the estimated price range for this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Completion time for this project is estimated at two (2) years after the award with options.
