Description
FRQ - HOYAG Laser The Naval Medical Logistics Command has a requirement for one (1) surgical holmium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet laser for the United States Naval Hospital in Rota, Spain. This solid-state laser shall be a holmium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Ho:YAG) laser operating at a wavelength of 2.1 µm. The surgical Ho:YAG laser shall be cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for lithotripsy. The laser shall produce a maximum power output of at least 30 W with pulse energies for the range of 0.5-2.5 J at frequencies between 3 and 20 Hz. The laser shall feature an aiming beam in the visible light spectrum (red or green). The laser shall feature a foot switch for operation. The laser shall be portable to allow for use in multiple operating rooms. The vendor shall be responsible for providing a minimum of two (2) protective glasses, two (2) protective goggles, and two (2) operator manuals. The power requirements are 120-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system, such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. The system, including claims made for the product, shall be compliant with FDA regulations, in respect to marketing and delivering medical products for use in the United States of America. These requirements shall apply even if delivery is requested outside of the United States of America. Enhancing Factors: The surgical Ho:YAG laser should not require any facility modifications or special installations/accommodations.
