Description
Questions and Responses for RFI 1) Could you please confirm if the request below is accurate as these volumes seem as if they are for production machines rather than MFDs. Could these possibly be pooled volumes or volumes per year rather than per month? These are volumes per month. Answer: This was an average taken for 3 months on OBIM's current MFD usage. 2) "Stock an adequate quantity of supplies for each office's copier (excluding staples and copier paper). The estimated number of black and white copies per month per MFD is 100,000 and the estimated number of color copies per month per MFD is 175,000." Answer: Yes, this is accurate. 3) How many units does the Government expect will be acquired under the solicitation (once issued) and will they all be installed at one time or over a period of time? If over a period of time, what timeframe? Answer: 13 units will be installed at one time. 4) Will all units be located at one site in Arlington, VA? If not, please provide the estimated MFD quantities and city/state for each location. Answer: Yes, at one site in Arlington, VA. 5) For the stated volumes and the number of users identified in the RFI, it seems that a higher copy speed and volume would better meet the Government's needs than a 35ppm MFD as required in the solicitation. We recommend 50 to 60 ppm devices. Will the Government consider changing the copy speed to a more robust device? Answer: Yes, and only if its cost effective. 6) On the CAC/PIV, will the Government require device lock down, scanning authentication or both? Will the Government desire device lockdown associated with CAC/PIV? Answer: No device lockdown. CAC/PIV card for scanning authentication only. 7) Please extend the due date for responses from one week to ten (10) days after the Government answers vendor questions. Answer: The due date will not be extended at this time.
