Specific Instructions for ProjNet Project Labor Agreement Questions Tentative Schedule - Fort Randall Industry Day Industry Day Directions SPECIAL NOTICE INDUSTRY DAY FOR FORT RANDALL UNIT REHAB This is an announcement for an Industry Day to be held at Fort Randall Dam. This notice does not constitute a solicitation. This announcement and the Industry Day event are for planning purposes only. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse any party attending or participating for costs incurred for this event or marketing efforts. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, will host an Industry Day event for all businesses interested in the Fort Randall Major Rehabilitation. The intent of this Industry Day is threefold. First, to introduce the Fort Randall Rehabilitation project to industry. Second, to provide a tour of one of the Dam's eight turbine generator units. Lastly, to receive capability briefings and comments specific to the Fort Randall Major Unit Rehab Project. The Address for the industry day is: 113 Randall Creek Road Fairfax, SD 57335 *Please see attached "Industry Day Directions" Industry Day will be held: July 18 - 19, 2017 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. *Please see attached "Tentative Schedule" Industry Day Attendance: The event is free of charge and all interested parties are invited to attend. Attendance is limited to two (2) representatives per company. To be allowed entrance to the event, you must provide the following information to Andrew Wright, Andrew.D.Wright@usace.army.mil, NLT the dates provided below: 1. If visiting from a foreign country, provide the following information NLT June 9th, 2017: (1) Full name, (2) Position and Affiliated Organization, (3) Scanned copy of passport. 2. All other Attendees, provide the following information NLT July 3rd, 2017 : (1) Full Name and (2) Position and Affiliated Organization. **No cameras, phones or photos will be allowed. All phones and cameras must be left in vehicles. There will be no individual or unescorted tours** Industry Questions and Comments: ALL inquiries and questions related to this Industry Day are to be submitted via Bidder Inquiry in ProjNet at (https://www.projnet.org) No Later Than (NLT) seven (7) days prior to the Industry Day. Project ID / Name: (461738) / Fort Randall Unit Rehab Solicitation Number: TBD Bidder Inquiry Key: VVKTXK-GR5IQH *Please see attached "Specific Instructions for ProjNet" Summary of Work: This project will provide rehabilitation on the eight turbine generator units at the Fort Randall Power Plant. The rehab will include new turbine runners, new wicket gates, head cover & stay ring refurbishment, new generator stator windings & stator cores, rotor refurbishment, and installing four (4) new generator step up transformers. Other mechanical & electrical upgrades may be included in the work as the condition of the components is revealed. These items may include piping, coolers, high pressure oil lift and general mechanical work and miscellaneous auxiliary electrical work. The following major activities need to be carried out for all eight units: 1. Disassemble units 2. Rewind unit generator 3. Replace stator core and frame (if required) 4. Replace rotor spider (if required) 5. Replace turbine runner 6. Modify thrust and guide bearings 7. Install digital governors (if required) 8. Replace wicket gates 9. Install four (4) generator step-up transformers 10. Install high resistance grounding (if required) 11. Refurbish head covers and stay rings 12. Replace gates, servos, and packing boxes 13. General and auxiliary mechanical repairs 14. Shaft alignment 15. Commission Unit Range of magnitude: Between $100,000,000 and $250,000,000
