- Federal Business Opportunities Information Date: 2017 May 25 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-17-B-0007 On or about 12 June 2017, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the Cultural Resource Bank Stabilization, Baker Rhode, Big Bend Project, SD. The solicitation will close on or about 12 July 2017. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A site visit date and time will be issued with the advertisement package. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See ‘Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) This project is for the implementation of bank stabilization measures at cultural resource site in Hughes County SD adjacent to Lake Sharpe/Big Bend Project. The work will consist of bank and slope protection of approximately 2500 feet of Lake Sharpe on the site herein referred to as the "Baker Rhode" in Hughes County South Dakota. The work will consist of cutting, regrading, and compacting the existing bank to provide the proper slope for the placement geotextile fabric and rip rap stone. The contractor will be limited to the designated areas for operations. Work will require building roads to provide access to the construction sites. The work is located on Lake Sharpe approximately 1 mile upstream from the De Grey Recreation Area and 2 miles off of SD Highway 34. The project location is approximately 20 miles southeast of Pierre, SD or 40 miles northwest of the Big Bend Project Office. The exact location of the work will be shown by the Contracting Officer's Representative. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Bidders (Offerors): Please be advised of on-line registration requirement for Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) is now located in System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to SAM.
