Description
The 502d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) - Lackland is seeking sources capable of providing all items and personnel necessary to renovate an athletic natatorium pool. This notice is for planning purposes only and shall NOT be construed as a formal solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services, and does NOT constitute a commitment (implied or otherwise) that a procurement action will be issued. The purpose of this request for information is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. The NAICS code associated to the services is 234220 and the size standard is $36.5 Million. Responses to this notice are strictly voluntary. The Government is not liable for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information. Interested parties are encouraged to respond with information not constrained by proprietary data rights. However, if proprietary data is included in your reply, please mark it appropriately. DESCRIPTION OF EQUIPMENT & SERVICES NEEDED : The objective is to identify sources capable of completing a renovation for a natatorium pool as part of a design/build project. The design and technical criteria contained and cited in this SOW, the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS), established national codes and manufacturer recommendations function together to establish minimum standards for design and construction quality. The Designers of Record shall use the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) and the requirements contained in this SOW to fully develop the technical specifications and construction drawings. This natatorium pool is a 458,298 gallon Cementous in ground vessel, measuring 54' x164.4' on 2'-6" footings in compacted, non-expansive fill. It is comprised of a 4' deep shallow end (north) that slopes to the terminal depth of 12' with a fully integrated legacy fiberglass liner. It is ringed by a 4"perimeter gutter drain that suffices to tie in the liner with the pool edge coping and provides return water to the sanitization function. The water treatment system in is running two pumps at 600gpm each for a total of 1200gpm to provide nearly 4 full filtration cycles ("turn overs") in a given 24hr period. Sanitization/conditioning of the water is conducted and consists of Chlorinators, two, 96" Dia. Sand filter tanks, and sulfuric acid tanks, circulating pumps, flow meters and a surge tank. The goal of this renovation is to obtain a durable and functional building complete and adequate to include (but not limited) to the following: •· Vessel : Demolish and provide and install a replacement for the fiberglass liner. •· Lighting : Repair and replace submerged lighting and its electrical circuits to include all appurtenances. •· Sanitization System : Increase the disinfection and conditioning capability. Replace the hydronic boiler with a redundant system in a lead/lag configuration with heat exchanger. Tie sensors and temperature monitoring devices into base EMCS. •· Circulation : Replace all above ground piping servicing. Repair sump, drain and overflow pits. •· Video : Provide visual evidence of the condition of the existing piping. Interested concerns capable and experienced in providing renovation to are requested to provide the following information as part of the response to demonstrate a capabilities statement. Respondent will not be notified of the results of the information; however, the contracting officer will utilize the information for technical and acquisition planning. All proprietary information not to be disseminated in Government documents must be clearly identified. Since this is a sources sought announcement only, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the participants. This market survey is issued to determine the applicable planning and acquisition strategy based on responses indicating capability in responding to this requirement.
