- Mississippi River Basin; Lock 20 Support Beams and Gate Machinery. The work includes, but is not limited to, removing, protecting, and reinstalling miter gate machinery; replacing miter gate sector gear bases with single combined pinion and sector gear bases; replacing miter gate machinery platforms with new I-beams; concrete removal and replacement; resurfacing machinery pits; and miscellaneous mechanical and electrical work. Additional work may include, but is not limited to, refurbishing miter gate gear reduction boxes; repairing concrete electrical duct bank; elevating Intermediate wall and Tainter valve power receptacles; refurbishing Tainter valve gear reduction boxes; replacing Tainter valve wire rope drums; replacing wire mesh cable grips; replacing upstream embedded miter and recess anchorage metals; reworking upstream miter and recess anchor bars; fabricating and replacing travelling kevel; replacing lock handrail; and supplying spare Tainter valve wire rope drums. NAICS Code: 237990 Size Standard: $36,500,000.00 Estimated Range: $5,000,000 - $10,000,000 Unrestricted Procurement Basis for award: This construction contract will be awarded using competitive negotiations procedures for achieving the Best Value to the Government through the Source Selection Process. The Source Selection will be conducted in accordance with procedures prescribed in FAR Part 15. The Government will select for award the proposal that is most advantageous and represents the best overall value to the Government, considering the Technical Approach, Past Performance, Small Business Participation and Price, along with their respective sub-factors (as applicable). It is anticipated that the plans and specifications for this project will be available on www.fbo.gov on or about 10 July 2017. Any contractor wanting the plans and specifications must download them from this website.
