The 900E ESTA is a Low Power TACAN (Tactical Air Navigation) Antenna intended for use with the FA-9996 and other TACAN beacon equipment located at VORTAC sites. It is designed to replace existing TACAN Antennas which have reached the end of their economical service life and, in the process, to provide a TACAN antenna which has greater reliability, ease of maintenance and requires substantially less power to operate than previous TACAN antennas. In addition, 900E ESTA is an all-frequency antenna; that is one antenna setup, can transmit and receive DME/TACAN signals on all frequencies. Built In Test (BITE) assures the user that all antenna electronics are fully functional. The 900E also provides a 2nd level of monitoring, which is a true radiated field monitor, and is located inside the Monitor Antenna/Lightning Arrester assembly. HOW TO RESPOND TO THIS MARKET SURVEY: This market survey ™s intent is to obtain the following information from potential vendors: 1.If the vendor is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the 900E TACAN Antenna P/N 901300-101. The Government requests a letter to include: a.A statement that the company is the sole owner of the data rights/proprietary information. b.A statement whether or not the vendor would provide the Government with the data and include, if any, stipulations. c.If the vendor has released, licensed or sold this data to other vendors. 2.If the vendor is a licensed and/or authorized vendor then they are to provide a letter stating that they are a licensed and experienced to manufacture this antenna. Additionally, the vendor is to provide a letter from the OEM showing that they are authorized to use their data to perform this work. The Government is not seeking information from vendors who are not the OEM or an authorized/licensed vendor to perform this work. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR A CAPABILITY STATEMENT, PROPOSALS OR OFFERS. A SIR/Request for Offer may be made under a separate announcement in the future. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing vendor responses to this market survey. Therefore any cost associated with a market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor ™s expense. This market survey will enable the FAA to review responses that are current and will assist with acquisition planning based on current data.
