- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Child Health Development (NICHD) intends to award a purchase order to General Electric Company, 3000 N. Grandview Blvd W - 443, Waukesha, WI 53188 for a service agreement for GE Voluson ultrasound equipment. The purpose of this purchase order is to purchase a service agreement for General Electric Voluson ultrasound equipment. The sole source determination is based on the determination that GE Healthcare is the only source of parts and technicians with expertise to service their systems back to manufacturer specifications capable of being covered under a service agreement. Use of another entity for service would void warranties and further service agreements. In compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. This solicitation is not a Small Business Set-Aside. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NICHD-17-104 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package in writing to the attention of Ms. April N. Martin at National Institute Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), 6710B Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817 or via email april.martin@nih.gov. All requests must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. Email addresses are encouraged but not mandatory.
