- THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL: It is a market research tool being used to determine potential and eligible business firms that are capable of providing the equipment described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Quote. The NAICS for this requirement is 562910 Environmental Remediation Services with a size standard of 750 people. All interested firms are encouraged to respond, regardless of business size. The results of this Sources Sought will be utilized to determine if any Small Business Set-aside opportunities exist. All Small Business Set-aside categories will be considered. In addition, this market research tool is being used to identify potential and eligible firms, of all sizes, prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The 105th Airlift Wing is seeking sources to provide an industrial wastewater filtration system based on the following criteria: The water currently being stored within our Industrial Waste (IW) lagoon comes from winter deicing processes, aircraft hangar maintenance and aircraft washes mainly, all through a closed drainage system. Since the recent threshold changes in PFOA/PFOS contaminates we cannot release our IW like in the past. Past processes allowed us to test the water and based on the results, given a release rate from the local Town of New Windsor to discharge into the sanitary sewer system where they would then process the water in their treatment facility. The town will only accept a release if the PFOA/PFOS levels are non-detectable. The contractor would be responsible for providing a short-term rental filtration system that is capable of removing all PFOA/PFOS from the IW lagoons to a non-detectable level. The filtered water would then be tested and based on satisfactory results, an option to purchase the filtration system would be considered. The filtration system shall have a processing capability of 0 to 100 gpm and must be able to process 1,000,000 gallons in a 45 day period to include all sampling. The IW water contains trace heavy metals from aircraft maintenance procedures and glycol from winter deicing procedures that must be accounted for when selecting a filtering system. The 105th Airlift Wing will consider a carbon adsorption vessel type filtration system or a similar system that uses alternative methods capable of achieving a PFOA/PFOS remediation to a non-detectable level. All interested offerors should provide a brief capability statement of available equipment and delivery capabilities. The capability statement should include, as a minimum, product literature, contractors business size and socioeconomic status, Cage Code and DUNS number, and a point of contact with name, title, phone and fax number and email address. This sources sought notice does not obligate the Government. Interesed vendors should reply not later than 07 June 2017.
