- Description
- (FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY) PM School, VA Acquisition Academy PM School Goals (SAC-F information): The Program Management (PM) School has seen one unique construction oriented FAC-P/PM refresher course. The PM School would like to explore and evaluate pilot deliveries of a 5-day course, or similar courses. The PM School would like to have VA construction project/program managers experience a FAC-P/PM construction pilot delivery and then evaluate if VA should offer construction specific continuous learning course(s). RFI details (desire to publish on FBO.gov): The Program Management (PM) School (a school within VA Acquisition Academy) was created to address the training requirements for Federal Acquisition Certification of Program/Project Managers (FAC-P/PM). The PM School has received feedback that expanded continuous learning opportunities for FAC-P/PM certified construction professionals may be useful. The feedback has suggested that program and project management in the federal construction environment is different and has additional complexities not addressed in current FAC-P/PM training topics. This Request-For-Information (RFI) seeks to discover different or unique program/project management skills that federal employees may need to be a successful program/project manager in construction environments. The PM School is looking for project and/or program management related skills. The PM School is not looking to identify trade skills or available construction skill-training courses. This RFI seeks to identify: If a construction-specific FAC-P/PM refresher course exists. What program/project management principles are different and/or unique to federal construction that may be in addition to FAC-P/PM competencies (URL for FAC-P/PM competencies: https://www.fai.gov/drupal/certification/program-and-project-managers-fac-ppm#ppm-competencies) Instructions: Interested contractors/firms responding to this Sources Sought Notice must provide a capability statement demonstrating their skills and capability to fulfill the requirement listed above. Respondents shall also indicate whether they can provide a construction-specific FAC-P/PM refresher course that is unique to or in addition to what is offered above (URL). All respondents are requested to identify their GSA Schedule Number, if applicable; firm's size; and type of business based on NAICS 611430 (Professional and Management Development Training). The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed 3 pages. Responses shall be submitted via email to Renaldo Williams at renaldo.williams2@va.gov by 12:00 Noon Eastern Time on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Disclaimer and Important Notes: This is not a solicitation. This request does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s). No pricing information should be included in the submission.
