Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a fixed-price, sole source contract modification to Photo-Sonics Incorporated as a follow-on hardware procurement following the completion of obsolescence redesign efforts under Contract N00019-16-C-0009. The contract action planned for this effort includes procurement of the F/A-18 Mission Assessment Recording System (MARS) Heads-Up Display (HUD) Video Camera. This effort supports F/A-18 aircraft mission readiness. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Photo-Sonics is the designer, developer, manufacturer; and as such, has the manufacturing knowledge, experience, and technical data required to fulfill this requirement within the time required.
