- Pacific Northwest Division in operation of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) for the U.S. Department of Energy is requesting information, seeking sources, and conducting market research from potential suppliers regarding their equipment available to Vietnam for Clinical X-Ray based Blood Irradiation. The document explains details to provide in response to this RFI. Introduction Battelle Memorial Institute (Battelle), Pacific Northwest Division in operation of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) for the U.S. Department of Energy is requesting information, seeking sources, and conducting market research from potential suppliers regarding their equipment available to Vietnam for Clinical X-Ray based Blood Irradiation. Section I: Description of Need PNNL is requesting information regarding non-radioisotopic-based FDA approved blood irradiators. The desired equipment shall have proven clinical efficacy and be FDA approved for all blood products. PNNL is seeking information from potential suppliers regarding their capabilities, together with the required lead-time, to deliver one to four X-ray based blood irradiators to Vietnam. In addition to information about the devices that meet these requirements, please provide information about distribution capabilities in Vietnam, Maintenance and Warranty strategy in Vietnam. To maintain limited downtime of the equipment, the desired strategy shall include cost effective maintenance by a local maintenance provider. Section II: Responding to this RFI If your company has the potential to manufacture, deliver, and support the system described in Section I, please provide the information listed below.
