- Description
- Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Solicitation for a firm fixed-price contract for the Tule Lake Improvement Project, Phase 2. The project area is located near the town of Tulelake, in California and just south of the Oregon state line. This procurement is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns only, and will be a Invitation for Bid (IFB) using FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding procedures. The work to be performed is described below. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310 and the related small business size standard is $36.5M. The estimated cost of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. This procurement will require a bid guarantee and 100% performance and payment bonds. Solicitation R17PS00593 will be posted electronically via www.fedbizopps.gov on or about June 5, 2017. The date for receipt of offers will be Jul 5, 2017. The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. A Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held, date/time/location to be provided with the solicitation. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. PRINCIPAL COMPONENTS OF WORK: This road improvement project includes the delivery and placement of "government furnished" gravel on existing Tule Lake roads, which are located approximately 5 miles south of Tulelake, California. The contractor shall grade the existing gravel roads, place and compact the new gravel sections. Performance Requirements include: Principal components of this Statement of Work consist of the following: 1. Provide delivery and placement of government furnished gravel from O'Conner Pit, Oregon, nearest physical address is 4901 Lower Klamath Lake Rd, Klamath Falls, OR 97603. 2. Apply "Dust Off" or equivalent dust palliative to specific haul roads to minimize dust. Using a water trucks at all times, apply water for dust control on roads used that did not receive dust palliative. 3. Prepare and grade existing roads prior to placing base and aggregate. 4. Haul government supplied base and aggregate rock to the Tule Lake Lease Land roads. 5. Place and compact base and aggregate per the locations and thicknesses specified. 6.
