***PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENT FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS PERTAINING TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT.*** INTRODUCTION The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), Orlando, FL, is defining its acquisition strategy for the H-1 LOT VI Training System Procurement and Technical Refresh Procurement. The Training Systems Procurement includes two new Flight Training Devices (FTDs) designated as the Marine Corps AH-1Z Device 2F227 (S/N 5) and UH-1Y Device 2F226 (S/N 3) which will be located at Marine Corp Air Station (MCAS) Futenma, Japan. The Technical Refresh Procurement will be made for the UH-1Y FTD 2F196B S/N 2, UH-1Y FFS 2F206 S/N 1, AH-1Z FTD 2F197 S/N 1, and AH-1Z FFS 2F215 S/N 1 located at the MCAS, Camp Pendleton, California (CA). Additionally, a Technical Refresh Procurement will be made for the visual system projectors on the UH-1Y FTD 2F196 S/N 1 and AH-1Z FTD 2F197B S/N 2 at MCAS New River, North Carolina, and the UH-1Y FTD 2F196B S/N 3 at MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. The primary use of these training devices will be to instruct United States Marine Corps (USMC) H-1 pilots and copilots and provide the skills necessary to complete the Training and Readiness (T and R) syllabus throughout all stages of pilot and copilot development in areas such as Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) navigation training, Naval Aviation Training and Operational Procedure Standardization (NATOPS) procedures, emergency procedures training, Night Vision Goggle (NVG) training, Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) training, weapons deployment, and networked training within existing infrastructures. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to help define an acquisition strategy for this procurement by surveying industry for interest and capabilities to meet requirements outlined below. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. Interested businesses should submit a capabilities statement package (no more than twenty (20) 8.5 x 11 inch pages, font no smaller than 10 point) demonstrating ability to perform the effort by answering the questions above.
