Description
BACKGROUND: The Nashville Area Indian Health Service serves 29 Tribes or Nations with sixteen Title I (contracted) Tribally Administered programs, nine Title V (compacted) Tribally administered programs, four IHS Federal Direct Care Service Unit programs, and three Urban Indian Health programs. These Tribes and Nations are dispersed across fourteen states, although the Nashville Area also assists patients in twenty-four states in the eastern, southeastern and mid-United States. The Indian Health Service, Nashville Area Office is seeking contractors to serve the American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) population within the entire geographic region served by the Nashville Area. Services provided to the AI/AN population include mental health and substance abuse prevention, treatment and case management services, recovery support, health promotion and disease prevention activities and services, crisis intervention, social services assistance, community outreach, and transportation. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible to contract, you must be classified as an Urban Indian organization, defined as being a nonprofit-corporation situated in an urban center, governed by an urban Indian-controlled board of directors, and providing for the maximum participation of all interested Indian groups and individuals, which body is capable of legally cooperating with other public and private entities for the purpose of performing the activities described in section 503(a) [25 USCS § 1653(a)] HOW TO RESPOND: This is a sources sought notice, as such this is a request for information only. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary with no obligation nor incurred cost by the government. Please respond via email. Response should include a detailed capabilities statement, website, and any additional information as it pertains to the scope of the work contained in this announcement. Provide with response – 1) Pursuant to FAR 52.204-7, prospective vendors shall be properly registered in www.sam.gov; if also eligible, registered as applicable small business certifications (e.g. Hubzone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Women-Owned, Small Disadvantaged), in order for IHS to issue an award and claim procurement actions with eligible small business vendors. 2) Provide Dun & Bradstreet (DUNS) used to create www.sam.gov registration. 3) Identify Business Size: Small or Large Any questions regarding this notice should be submitted via email to the points of contact listed.
