- Description
- This requirement to field the Narrow-band (NB) Satellite Communication (SATCOM) capability for the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) UH-1N helicopters with the Block 1 configuration. This UH-1N NB SATCOM requirement will encompass all aspects of aircraft modifications to include non-recurring engineering, manufacture, integration, logistics and installation of the UH-1N Block 1 modification kit. The requirement will contain development of airworthiness documentation, aircraft integration technical data packages, trial installations, kit-proofs, Qualification Testing and Evaluation (QT&E) test support, technical orders and full-rate kit production and installations. The period of performance is two (2) years, with a 12 month month basic period and one (1) option for 12 months for production installations. This contract was awarded as an 8(a) direct award through the Small Business Administration.
