- Description
- Note: Solicitation number should be W912PM17B0013. Responses will be taken from both W912PM17B0012 and 0013 combined. Not wishing to create further confusion by cancelling and reposting this sources sought will be allowed to expire as is with the addition of the magnitude below. Project SF-000014-15 (1900N) Fire Alarm and Mass Notification System Building O1900M) in the SOTF includes a comprehensive upgrade of the FA/MNS systems in a 30 year old building. The intent is to bring the building up to modern life safety standards and UFC-3-600-01 by providing a comprehensive FA/MNS system throughout these large facilities. A more detailed description is: Modify the existing XLS3000 combined addressable fire alarm and mass notification system. The FA/MNS shall communicate with the existing Honeywell Enterprise Buildings Integrator (EBI) system. Programming of the fire alarm system shall be performed by qualified Honeywell certified contractor. All fire alarm wiring shall be in conduit. Provide all required wiring, programming, testing, etc. for a complete functioning system per the UFC-3-600-01. Provide all required fire alarm relays, monitor modules and wiring for existing elevator. Provide new fiber optic cabling to network all combination FA/MNS panels. Provide speakers in all occupied areas of the building and one speaker/strobe at main entrances on the exterior of the building. The mass notification system shall communicate via fiber optic cabling back to the existing Honeywell EBI system. The mass notification panel shall have an integral operating console for fire department use only. Remote local operating consoles shall be located min. 200 ft travel distance from an occupant in the building. Provide all required wiring, programming, testing, amplifiers, etc. for a complete functioning system per UFC 4-021-01. Project includes demolition and replacement of some existing FA/MNS items and installation of new items per plans and specifications provided by an AE. Due to the existing Honeywell presence, including the existing proprietary Honeywell main server, which must communicate with all new or replaced FA/MNS items, the property or services needed by the agency will require a brand name justification (which will be posted at time of solicitation) and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency without the potential for large cost increases and additional scope to replace all items, including the main server. For this reason and the fact that all of the systems needs to communicate. The Justification will apply only to required Honeywell products. Please provide capabilities statements and list prior contract performance. In Accordance with FAR 36.204-Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, this project has a magnitude of construction consistent with paragraph, (f) between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
