Description
Fredericksburg National Cemetery, Complete Reconstruction of Brick Boundary Wall: Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park 120 Chatham Lane, Fredericksburg, VA 22405. *This is a competitive total small business set-aside acquisition limited to small business firms. All responsible sources may submit an offer for consideration in accordance with these and other terms and conditions of the solicitation.* The subject Solicitation P17PS01570 consists of the following construction services to be performed at: Fredericksburg National Cemetery The work of this contract consists of: Location: Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania NMP, adjacent to Lafayette Boulevard and Sunken Road. a. General clearing and removal of leaf mulch and site debris adjacent to nine (9) existing boundary wall panels and adjacent piers, at interior and exterior faces. b. Detailed documentation (via photography and shop drawings) of brick masonry at nine (9) existing boundary wall panels and adjacent piers, including interior and exterior faces, cornices and coping. c. Deconstruction of nine (9) boundary wall panels and adjacent piers, and salvage and delivery of sound and undamaged brick units to the Park s local maintenance facility. d. Supply and installation of clay brick, custom-manufactured in standard sizes (for panels) and special shapes (for pier caps) to match original, historic masonry. e. Supply and installation of custom mortar mix f. Reconstruction of nine (9) boundary wall panels and adjacent piers, complete, to match original panel assemblies, maintaining existing grades as closely as possible. g. Protection of all graves, monuments and markers in and adjacent to work areas. h. Protection of iron and steel gate hardware and other adjacent construction. i. Incidental repair, resetting and repointing at portions of existing brick piers (and pier bases) immediately adjacent to panels to be reconstructed, including assemblies that are cracked, offset or damaged during panel deconstruction and reconstruction. j. Option #1: Combination repair and reconstruction of an additional boundary wall panel ( Panel #68 ), complete, as described and illustrated in Section 01 27 00 in the Solicitation to follow this pre-solicitation.
