Description

The Ordinance Information System (OIS) runs on an Oracle/ Sun Platform. Oracle is the Original Equipment Maunfacturer (OEM). If an alternative vendor is selected it will cost the Government additional funding and time to have the vendor(S) evaluate the equipment to ensure it is currently 100% operational prior to a contract award. Oracle is the only vendor that can perform this hardware maintenance. Market Research was conducted prior to submission of this requirement. It was found that Oracle is the only company that can provide the required hardware maintenance. The proposed firm fixed price contract action is for Oracle Sun Hardware maintenance Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all information received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
