Description
The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a construction requirement at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor ME. Work will consist of providing all labor, qualified supervision, material, tools, equipment, supplies and incidentals for exterior stone masonry rehabilitation on Duck Brook Vehicular Bridge in Acadia National Park. The major elements of work include: 1.mobilization and demobilization; 2.installation, maintenance and removal of maintenance of traffic and erosion control measures; 3.masonry rehabilitation work including repointing and rebedding of mortar joints in exterior stone masonry, repair of cracks in stone masonry, selective reconstruction of stone masonry and repair of expansion joints in stone masonry; 4.concrete repair including exterior overhead surface concrete patch repair; and 5.all staging, scaffolding or other means of access required outside the bridge to inspect and perform the masonry rehabilitation work and concrete repair work. SOLICITATION NUMBER: P17PS01532. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (IFB) and its attachments will be issued on or about 6/21/17 and will be available free of charge through the Government wide point of entry Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov and the FedConnect website https://www.fedconnect.net/. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $250,000 and $500,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by end of July. Federal Construction Wage Rates for Hancock County, Maine will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238140, and the size standard is $15 million. Award is restricted to small businesses in accordance Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.203 -- Full and Open Competition After Exclusion of Sources, Set-Asides for Small Business Concerns. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
