- The United States Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive firm fixed price award to Geotech Limited, located in Daventry, UK for a Geotek XRF and Geotek Electronics rack. The Government requires an upgrade to the existing Geotek Multi-Sensor Core Logger (MSCL-S) in order to conduct down-core elemental analysis. Only Geotek can provide software upgrades, instrumentation, and electronics compatible with existing Government Geotek inventory. The addition of an XRF to the MSCL-S also requires replacing the existing and obsolete Geotek electronics rack to support all the existing MSCL sensors and the new XRF. A new electronics rack is required to drive all existing sensors on the MSCL-S and to control the XRF or any future sensors that the government may procure to enhance the existing Geotek MSCL Geotek maintains proprietary data rights to their equipment and software and have no authorized resellers. All interested parties must include the following: Submission of Questions and Quotes: In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(i) all responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. All Submission of questions and quotes shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to the Contracting Officer Gerald Lewandowski at glewando@usgs.gov. All questions must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than 03:00pm EST on June 12, 2017. Questions and quotes by hardcopy or the FedConnect web portal or Fed Connect Message Center shall not be accepted or considered. NOTE: All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary - the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Materials submitted to the Government for review will not be returned. This notice and any resulting in a solicitation or purchase order conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-95, dated 19 Jan 2017.
