Description

U.S. Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Far East (NAVFAC FE), Public Works Department (PWD) Sasebo, Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) intends to award using 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 a contract to M.E.C., Co. Ltd., 1746 Tenjincho, Sasebo, 857-1175, Japan. The purpose of this requirement is to provide a requirements contract that can be utilized to issue FFP task orders for shipboard solid waste and foreign port origin waste including foreign food waste collection and disposal services for United States Ship (USS), United State Naval Ship (USNS), Military Sealift Command (MSC), and other ships at anchorage and berthed at U.S. Fleet Actives Sasebo (CFAS) Japan. CFAS supports a total 77 anchorage points and 14 pier side berths. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or a solicitation of offers. However, all capability statement received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement upon receipt of response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
