Description
Service maintenance for two (2) Government-owned Isoprime Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometers (IRMS) at the National Health & Environmental Effects Research Laboratory - Atlantic Ecology Division. Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), National Health & Environmental Effects Research Laboratory “ Atlantic Ecology Division requires maintenance service for two (2) Government-owned, Isoprime Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometers (IRMS) located at 27 Tarzwell Drive, Narragansett, RI 02882. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b). Proposed Vendor: Elementar Americas, Inc. 520 Fellowship Road, Suite D-408 Mount Laurel, NJ 08054-3408 NAICS Code: 811219 (Other Electronic & Precision Equipment Repair & Maintenance). Product Service Code (PSC): J066 (Maintenance & Repair of Instruments and laboratory equipment). EPA intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Elementar Americas, Inc. which is the only company that is authorized to provide original manufactured parts, and factory trained technicians to service the two (2) Government-owned Isoprime Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometers. The anticipated award is for one, twelve-month base period, with two, twelve-month option periods for a total of 36 months. The EPA determination is that there is no other vendor capable of satisfying this requirement. Any interested vendor with the capability to satisfy this requirement may submit a capability statement fully supporting that they meet all of the requirements as specified in Attachment (1): Statement of Work “ Maintenance for Isoprime Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometers. Capability statements shall be sent via e-mail to Faye Sas no later than 3 pm EST on 17 June 2017. The determination not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received from this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
