THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. A SYNOPIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION MAY BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUSLY INTERESTED AND IF YOU DO NOT PERFORM THIS REQUIREMENT. IT WILL DELAY THE POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION DUE TO FURTHER MARKET RESEARCH THAT WILL BE REQUIRED. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates the need for a firm-fixed-price contract for a project entitled Replace Fire Alarm System at Dayton Manor. Dayton Manor is federal property that contains staff living quarters for the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Brooklyn. Dayton Manor is located at 9315 Fort Hamilton Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11209 and it a residential housing complex consisting of four (4), six (6) stories, one Lower Lobby (LL), and one Garage level (G) high rise buildings. the following brief synopsis should not be considered inclusive of work required to complete the project. The project consists of providing all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals. The upgrade shall include but shall not be limited to the following major components: (1) FACP Panel, (3) Remote Annunciator with black boxes, (1) Fireworks System with workstation, color graphic software and monitor, additional devices and appurtenances. The new panel shall interface with the existing fire alarm system peripherals, resulting in a complete, upgraded and networked campus-wide fire alarm system. The entire facility shall be networked so that the fire detection and alarm system is complete and fully functional as needed to meet "high rise" system qualifications, smoke detectors, heat detectors, duct smoke detectors, pull stations, visual alarm signaling devices, control modules, monitoring modules, connections to pre-action systems, sprinkler system alarm and supervisory switches, fire doors, fire pump controller, connections to elevator control systems, and air handler controllers for fan controls, annunciator panels, control panels and master fire alarm control station. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238210 with a corresponding small business size standard of $15 million. To be considered an interested vendor, you must possess this NAICS code in your System for Award Management (SAM) registration. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov The FBOP is seeking small business contractors for this project. Your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the small business size standard specified above. Interested small business contractors are requested to respond to this notice by adding their names to the Interested Vendors List for this posting in FedBizOpps.gov (must be logged-in to your vendor account). The synopsis of proposed contract action will include further instruction for responding to this opportunity. Interested bidders are advised to continuously monitor FedBizOpps.gov for all future updates.
