Description
Industry Day At Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center for Hospital Beds and Mattresses for the ICU (Intensive Care Unit Acute Care), CLC (Bariatric and Community Living Center) Units. NOTE: This notice WILL NOT result in an award. The Government is seeking to identify Service Disabled Veteran Owned and Veteran Owned Small Business manufacturers and any other interested parties and is seeking early and meaningful correspondence with Industry to develop a statement of need and conduct market research to identify hospital beds and mattresses for ICU, acute care, bariatric care and CLC at Wilkes-Barre Veterans Administration Medical Center. An Industry Day has been scheduled on Thursday June 22, 2017 from 7:00am to 6:00pm at 1111 East End Blvd., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 2ND Floor recreation room for a technical presentation and display of hospital beds and mattresses. The Veterans Health Administration is requiring that all interested parties shall submit a company capabilities statement, and product brochures for each product that will be presented. These documents will address each of the Government s needs and how each interested party plan on demonstrating their product (s), and fully satisfying the Government s needs. The required documents shall be submitted via email no later than 3:00 PM EST, June 16, 2017 to Contracting Specialist, Peter Cuoco with a copy sent to Patty Brown, Procurement Liaison. Hospital beds and mattresses must offer versatility to be used in a variety of clinical environments including ICU, acute care, bariatric care and CLC throughout this medical care facility. Intensive Care Unit Pressure re-distribution mattress with air pod technology, moisture management to prevent skin breakdown, with lateral rotation therapy to assist with mobility and prevent pulmonary complications Pressure distribution mattress. Bioquell is a unique hydrogen peroxide (HP) vapor bio-decontamination technology. The removable mattress would allow the mist from this machine to disinfect the whole mattress and the total bed frame along with the entire room during the decontamination process. FMS/BioMed minimum requirements i. Must have integrated bed alarms ii. Must interface with the Jeron 790 system, (Nurse Call Communication System). iii. Allow for TV remote usage iv. Maximum width and length as follows to accommodate bed transport within facility (to and from elevators/in and out of doorways) except as noted for Bariatric Beds and Acute Care: maximum 43 inch width; maximum 8 foot length Mattress i. Mattress alternatives from air to foam gel and any other technological advances related to Hospital Beds are encouraged for display at Industry Day venue ATTENDANCE: Is mandatory to facilitate a more meaningful didactic presentation of the beds and mattresses. Products may be delivered to VAMC Wilkes-Barre warehouse one day prior to Industry Day to accommodate for early set-up on Thursday, June 22, 2017. Product displays shall be removed from premises at the conclusion of Industry Day on June 22, 2017. The VAMC Wilkes-Barre Medical Center is not liable for any loss or damage to vendor property on the premises left prior to Industry Day for set-up or while being displayed. COMPENSATION: The Government will not compensate industry participants for travel, lodging or any other expenses associated with this event.
